The renovation of the existing masonry and concrete Women’s Psychiatric Building on the former Bryce Campus for the College of Continuing Studies includes the restoration of the exterior of the original 1938 three-story building and its single-story addition and the interior renovation for office fit-out. The renovation will respect the historical character of the building, while reinforcing and extending the character and image of the University, on the former Bryce campus.
The University of Alabama College of Continuing Studies role is to provide flexible and innovative educational opportunities, technical assistance and applied research that touches lives and creates opportunities in ways that make a difference and improve our world. The College of Continuing Studies offers a wide variety of degree and non-degree programs through flexible learning formats, both by distance and on-campus; professional development and training programs; environmental and industrial programs; and numerous conferences, workshops and other programs.
